I am honored to join this wonderful school community as your principal. I bring 24 years of experience as an educator and school leader, along with a deep commitment to supporting young learners and their families.

I served as principal of a preschool through second-grade school in Fort Bragg, California. Before that, I taught preschool and elementary students for 18 years—first in the Bay Area and then in Fort Bragg. I earned my bachelor’s degree, master's, and credential from Mills College in Oakland, a place that shaped both my professional journey and my passion for high-quality education. My experiences educating students in both urban and rural settings have provided me with a broad understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that each presents. Having spent the last 21 years working in a close-knit rural community, and as a product of rural education myself, I deeply value the strong partnerships between school and families that are essential to student success.

As your principal, my top priority is to foster a safe, joyful, and rigorous school environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. As both an educator and a parent, I understand the importance of creating a school community where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn. I am committed to collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to provide the best possible learning experience for each child.

Outside of school, I enjoy knitting, gardening, and making homemade jam—activities that reflect my creativity, patience, and a sense of interconnectedness with the world. I enjoy getting to know my neighbors and being fully invested in the rich fabric of the community we share. I am so pleased to have been chosen as principal of Williams Ranch Elementary School, and I am excited to establish myself here for the long term.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and to working together to support our students’ growth and success.
